CHIROPRACTOR | Founder/ Owner - Seaborne Chiropractic
MSc Chiropractic (DC) (2002 - AECC), BDegTech Chiropractic (1999 - DUT)
After twenty+ years in practise as a Chiropractor I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt in the undeniable effectiveness of a Chiropractic adjustment. I want everyone I meet to know the beneficial effects of Chiropractic Care. I am a product of the manual chiropractic adjustment and believe completely in its power, aspiring to deliver that perfect adjustment every time. To maintain the long-term benefits of an adjustment I also do a low force technique to that end.
My focus is to find the restriction, restore and maintain function, then get out of the way to allow the body to heal itself.
I was an active youngster who swam, played rugby, water polo and ice-hockey well into my teens and 20’s. Then became a competitive surfer, a kite surfer, and spent a year scuba-diving and sailing in the Caribbean despite being medicated daily for 17 years. My healthy lifestyle and medication did nothing to stop the debilitating migraines that I experienced every 6-10 weeks with no apparent reason.
During my 3rd year at University studying law I discovered Chiropractic when I signed up for a Chiropractic trial where receiving neck adjustments over 2 weeks, I became migraine-free. I was 24 at the time.
The experience was literally life changing! So much so that I changed my direction of study and pursued my degree in Chiropractic in South Africa, before moving to the UK in 2000 to complete my Doctorate (DC).
I'm passionate about being in the water!
In my spare time you will find me kite-surfing or enjoying a refreshing swim. As such I am a big proponent of taking care of the ocean, and the environment.
I regularly participated in initiatives led by the university, local council, and SOS, to keep the beaches clean and continue to do so here in Exmouth.
